Eligible Student Categories
Orphan Students
Candidates who have lost both their parents.
COVID-19 Loss
Students whose either or both parents died due to Covid-19.
Wards of Shaheed
Wards of Armed/Paramilitary Forces martyred in action.
Critical Illness
Parent suffering from a critical life-threatening disease or severely disabled (>80%) in an accident.
Mandatory General Requirements:
- Family income must be **less than ₹8 Lakh per annum**.
- Must be enrolled in an **AICTE Approved Degree or Diploma course** (in any year).
- Cannot be receiving any other Central/State/AICTE scholarship.
The Financial Award
*This lump sum amount is intended to cover tuition, books, equipment, and other essential expenses.
Application & Renewal FAQs
How do I apply?
All applications must be submitted online through the **National Scholarship Portal (NSP)** once the application window is announced. www.scholarships.gov.in
What is the renewal process?
To renew the scholarship for the next year, you must submit a **Promotion Certificate** and **Bonafide Certificate** (certified by your Institution Head) via the NSP.
Is an Aadhaar Card mandatory?
Yes. An Aadhaar card and an Aadhaar seeded bank account in the candidate's name are compulsory.
